Abstract

Each wheel pivot, left and right, is mounted in the usual way on two suspension arms - one above, one below. One of these arms in which the corresponding torsion bar is fitted is articulated on the intermediate chassis. The other arm is articulated on a shaped piece mounted flexibly on the chassis or vehicle body. This system gives a certain amount of independent articulating motion of each upper arm in relation to the corresponding lower arm. The shaped pieces are cross connected by a transverse piece and can also form mounting points for the engine.
