Abstract

In the mfr. of shoes with leather uppers, and soles of expanded polyurethane, bonding between the leather and the sole is obtd. by coating the leather with a first layer which penetrates deeply into the leather, followed by coating with is not >1 layer of a prod. which ensures good bonding between the first layer and the sole. The first coating does not harden the leather nor cause it to become creased during walking.
