Abstract

The panels have a core made of insulating material such as expanded polystyrene, in-between two layers of metal or resin reinforced with glass fibre. The aim of the invention is a means of assembly which will not harm the insulating properties of the panels. When the panel is erected, on the lower horizontal edge of each panel is a U-shaped lengthwise groove obtained by two outer skins being longer than the core, and then a U-shaped metal section is inserted and glued into place. The lower wing arm of the U engages in a hook formed in the top flange of the support bearer, and the groove and return form a housing for the upper horizontal edge of another panel which has a section complementary to it. The system may be used for refrigerated lorries or warehouses.
