Abstract

The device may be transistorised or non-transistorised. The non-transistorised concept consists basically of an electromagnetic relay re with contacts CT1 and CT2, a capacitor C1 and a resistor R5. The contacts CT1 and CT2 are normally open when the relay is not energised. For the flashing operation, the contact CT1 is initially open. With Com connecting LAR or LAV turning indicator, the relay coil Re becomes energised after capacitor C1 is fully charged from the dynamo VM. Contacts CT1 and CT2 are then closed and connect indicator LAR or LAV to VM. Whe the voltage at fuse F2 is equal to the voltage at C, the relay is de-energised. The flashing operation is then repeated without demanding power from battery B. For the charging operation, the battery B may be charged through a positive coefficient temperature resistance CTP, resistors R4 and R4', and diode D4, or through CT2.
