Abstract

1284065 Charging batteries DAIMLER BENZ AG 12 Feb 1970 [15 Feb 1969] 6902/70 Heading H2H Apparatus for charging a battery of a vehicle is provided with a resistor whose resistance varies with temperature, the resistor being arranged to influence the charging voltage so that the charging process of the battery is made dependent upon the temperature of the battery, the resistor being situated outside the battery and coated with, or housed in, a material so that the heat-inertia behaviour of the resistor corresponds to that of the battery. The leads from the resistor may be brought out of the housing to a plug-in connection.
