Abstract

The metal container is lined internally with a one piece plastic container which presses against the outside metal. The plastic container ends in a thick bead (10), and the metal canister ends also in a ring (9). The rings interlock and are pressed together with the combined lid and valve body stamping (12). This method of closure increases the effectiveness of the seal on the aerosol. The ring of the canister is formed at the inner opening of a domed plate whose outer edge is bent over the edge of the cylinder forming the main body of the canister.
