Abstract

Each cleat is placed along the join between adjacent panels such that the arms of the U are driven into the outer sheets of the panel, and penetrate the spacing blocks. An insulating layer between the adjacent edges of the two sheets of an outer wall-panel is situated behind its U-shaped cleat. One of the blocks may protrude from behind its two sheets, whilst the block of the adjacent panel may be recessed for the protruding spacer-piece to fit into it. Alternatively, each spacer-piece may be recessed, and a strip may be inserted into the gap thus formed between the two adjacent panels.
