Abstract

The coupler for binary data transmission pulses is formed by etching one face of a semiconductor junction, which is metallised on both faces, to form two guides (1, 2) and several pairs of resonators (11, 12......18) of square section, coupled respectively to the two guides (12) with their control voltages permitting agreement or dispovity of the frequency of the electromagnetic waves. These voltages are varied simultaneously between the two modes for each resonator, such that the total power of the waves continues to be propagated in the same waveguides or switches over to the other wave-guide.
