Abstract

Circular knitting machine in which the needle disc and its thread are driven by a synchronous transmission for vertical displacement of the needle disc to control the stitching depth has the transmission formed by an upper crown wheel which is journalled in an upper part of the machine and meshes with its two diametrally disposed axially extending pins in diametrally oppositely disposed devices of a diametral driving arm keyed to the shaft carrying the needle disc.
