Abstract

Films for agricultural use comprise >=80% polyethylene of density 0.94 or copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate and 1-20 wt.% anhydrous alumino-silicate. This is an improvement over the parent patent FR 1574088 where the filler used was silica or Al(OH)3 and water of hydration was liberated during processing of the compsn; in the patent of addition this problem is obviated without altering the other props. e.g. i.r. absorption and mechanical or optical props.
