Abstract

Bubbles produced in a flotation purifier, or pref. at inlets e.g. at liquid input duct, where shear leads to disruption; are aggregated by contact with a bowl around a turbine, so that they rise up alongside shaft, and break at surface, thus avoiding entrainment in purified liquid. Bubbles are small, size being independent of air inlet dia. thus flotation efficiency, and separation of suspended solids is enhanced.
