Abstract

The speed of revolving sleeves on flyer twisters in the textile ind. is monitored by a scanner which applies a pulse sequence with a frequency proportional to speed. A first counter produces an output signal on receipt of a given number of scanner pulses. A reference pulse generator with a frequency proportional to the desired speed feeds a second counter. The output signal of the latter is compared with that of the first counter, and an error signal is produced when the two signals do not coincide.
