Abstract

Powder additives of poor fluidity are injected in metered amounts from a container into a combustion chamber after they have been fluidized intermittently or continuously. The container is divided into one compartment for a gas under pressure, and a second compartment for the additives. The latter are taken through a pneumatic transport pipe to the combustion chamber. Metering is effected by controlling the gas inflow rate.
