Abstract

Apparatus for filtering liquids, particularly drinking water, by means of a filter pack traversed by the liquid feed, of the known type provided with an entrance into a feed chamber of a cylindrical or prismatic pressure vessel, separated by the filter pack and an intermediate plate or partition from a discharge chamber for the filtered liquid, the pressure vessel being provided with a removable cover on one of its end cover surfaces and with feed and discharge pipes respectively lying in a common plane parallel to such end cover surface, with the further improvements whereby (a) the intermediate plate together with the container forms an annular space into which one of the two pipes opens and (b) the other pipe, and more especially the feed pipe, passes through the annular space and is fixed to the intermediate plate, which is preferably fixed to the end of the container closed by the removable cover.
