Abstract

The aryn guide rod is mounted at an angle over the flanged bobbin. During the winding operation a cam operates a linkage to move a sliding sleeve so that the posn. of the rod is manipulated in relation to the axis of the winding unit. Improved yarn guiding during winding is achieved to reduce yarn tension and reduce yarn breakage. Used for winding flanged bobbins with weft yarn, for use in a rolling shed loom.
