Abstract

A trolley for transporting rolls of cloth (e.g. between folding inspecting, flattening devices etc) has a chassis mounted pref. on castors and a frame comprising pref. several pairs of uprights secured to the chassis. The uprights have recessed mounting blocks in which the ends of the beam on which the roll is formed can locate whereby the roll extends a pair of uprights and pref. each mounting block is provided on a sleeve which is slidable on an upright and which can be locked in position by clamping belts. Pref. the dimensions of the chassis are such that it extends beyond the periphery of the maximum diameter roll. The handling of the rolls is simplified.
