Abstract

Each cell of the accumulator has the normal filler hole with esp. a threaded stopper. This stopper has >=1 gas vent hole covered withing the cell by a separate cap or an integral disc of material, esp. sintered PTFE, which is gas permeable but impervious to electrolyte. Spillage and acid sprays are prevented.
