Abstract

The title cpd which is a pharmaceutical is prepd. by preparing separately an aq. soln. contg. anhydrous Na2CO3 and p-chlorophenoxyisobutyric acid, and an aq. soln. of pyridoxine, HCl, pouring the two solns simultaneously into a reactor fitted with a stirrer which contains a soln. of pyridoxine p-chlorophenoxyisobutyrate to act as a crystallisation initiator cooling and sepg. the crystals which are then submitted to a final heat treatment. This process avoids the prodn. of an oily phase on mixing of the solns.
