Milk substitute suitable e.g. for feeding calves is produced by preparing a mixt. of whey or skimmed milk, fish flour and opt. a fat; homogenising the mixt. and drying under reduced pressure (whereby substances having unpleasant smell are removed). The nutritive value of this prod. is not inferior to that of natural milk; the cost is low. The pulverulent prod. readily dissolves in water.
