Abstract

A food for bees based on honey is prepd. by adding pollen extracts and/or a soln. of propolis (bee-glue) to the honey; also the prod. obtd. from the above after being disgorged by the bee. For obtaining honey rich in pollen and/or propolis for human consumption. Pollen naturally has a disagreeable taste and proplis has only been used for various external prepns. Digestion by the bee rids the pollen of its disagreeable taste and forms a very fine suspension of propolis.
