Abstract

Compsn. based on an aq. soln of an anionic surfactant (pref. 1-10 wt.%) is improved by the addition of 30-200% w.r.t. the surfactant (pref. 80-120%) of a 1-3C alcohol (pref. isopropanol) and 2-50% w.r.t. the surfactant (pref. 5-10%) of an aliphatic 8-20C alcohol. The addition of the alcohols stabilisers the foam so that it does not collapse after the evaporation of the solvent and can be readily removed (together with the absorbed dirt) by a suction cleaner.
