Abstract

Pile fabrics are produced by passing a jute fabric and a polypropylene granulate through a pair of rollers both of which are heated to melt the granulate on the jute support as the support is in contact with the rollers, the fibres being formed at the separation pt. of the jute with one of the rollers at which pt. there is provided an air blast nozzle directing a jet of air in the direction of fibre formation.
