Abstract

The can is an improvement on that described in parent patent and has a control aperture in its lower end and a skirt around the aperture for connection via a seal to a vapour tube of the autoclave to exhaust vapour supplied to the top end of the cam. Support wheels are secured to the lower end of the can around the skirt for supporting the can without an auxiliary carriage and pref. there are three support wheels are at least of which is a castoring wheel. A reinforcing belt is secured around the can at about a third of its height to facilitate gripping by handling jaws and pref. a grid is located within the lower end of the can.
