Abstract

Pref. the soles are cut from an abrasion resistant non-flammable material, specif. asbestos, and the uppers are pref. made from a fire resistant material, specif. polyamide, treated with heat stabiliser and antistatic additives. The outside of the shoe pref. has a fire resistant coating. The tongue and the zones protecting the Achilles tendon and the ankle pref. have a cushioned structure. Used to complement other protective clothing such as overalls or underwear adopted for people having dangerous occupations such as racing drivers, firemen, rescue teams etc.
