Abstract
Rectangular sacks closed at both ends and having a double-wall entry pocket in one face to allow filling from a nozzle when in situ. The sack walls are permeable to air or water (displaced during filling). The sacks are made of polyamide, polypropylene or polyester sheets or fabric, coloured black, pref. with a porosity of 0.3-1.0 m3/min. A typical sack is 3m long and 1.5m wide, with a fill pocket 20 cm deep 20-75 cm from one end of the sack. Pref. the sides of the pocket are reinforced by 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 stitches per cm. run. For building water barriers by stacking sacks filled with sand via nozzles through the pocket. Can be filled above or underwater, avoiding need to place or turn filled sacks.
