Abstract

Method of forming and using active prods. based on metallic oxides esp. prodn. of positive electrodes for use in primary, secondary or fuel cells or for use as catalysts, characterised in that an electrically conductive support or substrate with a very large surface area is dipped into a soln. contg. the mixed nitrates of the metal required to be present in the final oxides, dried and heat treated to deposit the oxides directly onto the supports, saving the effort and cost of the deposition process.
