Abstract

A manhole for inspection and joining buried conduits for gravity flow, carries around its upper portion a sleeve which slides in relation to the manhole and which acts as shuttering for the concrete ring which supports the plug closing the manhole. The construction is adapted to the use of prefabricated plastic manhole sections of light weight, the manhole cover being supported by a concrete ring. The manhole elements are of standardised lengths prefabricated with reinforcing flanges at the ends. The base of the manhole has a hollow semi-circular channel connecting the joints. Reinforced plastic construction is prefd.
