Abstract
Device contains a diffuser chamber, one outer face of which has an inlet linked with a heat-flow generator and the opposite outer face is radiant and fitted with outlet orifices for the combustion products. Pref. radiant surface consists of a plate with an outer highly heat-resisting layer of uniform porosity, pref. a carbon or oxide of the basic material constituting the plate. Basic material is an oxidisable material, m.pt. of which is raised in same way as that of oxidation product, and pref. consists of Ni, Fe, Ti, Nb, Zr, Hf, Th, Ta or their alloys. Pref. plate is manufactured by causing quick oxidation on basic plate surface, preef. by means of gaseous O2 by ventilation, or with oxidising materials such as chromates, embedded in surface to be treated, pref. by sintering, solid body diffusion or by chemical reaction.
