Abstract

Protects the surface from contamination by refractory impurities which may alter the surface state of the metal being cast. Casting can be done in quantities of 400 to 500 tonnes. Mix contains: graphite as a thermic isolator in amounts of 5 to 90% in wt; cryolite as a scorifier in amounts of 5 to 30% in wt. in association with a product containing boron in amounts of 2 to 30% in wt.
