Abstract

Heat exchanger panel of the type which is made by face-jointing two pressed metal sheets, or by folding a single sheet back upon itself, in which the panel incorporates passages in the form of tubes with circumferential corrugations, similar to expansion bellows; when the tube is set in a curve, the corrugations of the outer wall of the curve open out whilst those on the inner wall of the curve close up. Such panels can be set to a narrow radius of curvature without danger of buckling the tubes, which continue to give unrestricted, full - flow passage. The pitch and depth of corrugations can be constant or varied to suit requirements.
