Abstract

Wetting liquid used in cold abrasion techniques on metals has water base with added sodium carbonate. It also contains 1% water soluble cellulose ester. Preferably, wt. content of liquid is 0.05-0.5% water soluble cellulose ester, 0.01-0.5% sodium carbonate and 99.00-99.94% water. Applications are to diamond abrasion of metals, particularly grinding and cutting. Advantages are that liquid prevents diamond grinding tool from clogging.
