Abstract

At least four constituents are separated in a process of industrial chromatography which involves taking the delivery of a first group of constituents from a first fractionating column into a second column, then taking the delivery of a second group of constituents from the first column into a third column; columns two and three each having a permanent flow of carrier gas independent of the flow of carrier gas through the first column. substantial quantities of constituents can be separated at a rate which satisfies industrial-scale demands.
