Abstract
Cooler is used for a gas mixture contg. H2 and CO, produced by partial combustion of hydrocarbons in a reactor. The coolant, preferably water, is introduced by ejectors close to the gas tube inlets, which are straight tubes housed in a tubular extension of the cooler connected to the reactor. The ejectors are so constructed that non-evaporated coolant is sucked out and re-cycled. System ensures adequate cooling of inlet lengths to tubes.
