Abstract

Oxymethylenic polymers are made by mixing with a high shearing force, an oxymethylenic polymer having at least 60% of -CH2O- units and terminal groups contg. >=1 active hydrogen (Zerewitnoff), and a different org. polymer having an NCO or NCS terminal gp. effecting the mixing at a fusion temp. of 121-232 degrees C and discharging at a temp. of 227-243, pref. 232-241 degrees C. A coupling agent (R-NCX)n where X is O or S, pref. a diisocyanate, may be included in the mixture.
