Abstract
Oil is removed from the sea as in parent patent. Still retaining the funnel formed by the tanker and the floating barrier channeling the oil, the floating receiver is formed of two aprons, the lower one with an adjustable throat, separating water from the oil slick, and the upper barrier apron. A flexible immersed pipe connects to the separate floating pumping system, so that the receiver is lightened and the throat can be kept more easily in position. A variable speed motor and screw delivers the oil via a flexible pipe to the tanker.
