Abstract
A mould for casting special steels, invar, cupronickel, cast iron and other metals is formed in two or more parts by impression against a master model. The mould is formed of stabilized (pref. zirconium oxide contg. a binder, which is a zirconium salt, pref. hydrolyzed TiCl4. The mould is contained in a steel boat, and may be used for gravity, centrifugal or pressure casting.
