Abstract
Material to be treated is reduced to a frozen snowlike form, packed into a carrier between a number of electrically conductive plates and sealed in a restricted chamber, subjected to a reduced pressure, heated by induction current whilst instantaneously and continuously withdrawing water vapour from the chamber to reduce the water vapour contact to about 2% followed by raising the chamber pressure in the chamber to atmospheric pressure before removing the dehydrated product from the carrier. Pref. the chamber is a dielectric material tube wrapped externally with heating coils charged with a current at a frequency of about .104 Hz.
