Abstract

The projectile or rocket includes solid propellant charge, with a central bore, in a tubular casing. Rear end has a central nozzle, and a supporting tube extends through the bore. Charge shows high tensile strain in response to high forces set up by launching. Supporting tube is narrower than the bore so that the charge may be deformed during launching and supported by the tube, but reassume its original shape and use the annular space to render radial combustion possible.
