Abstract

Refrigeration plant for cold - stored foods in controlled atmosphere. GB-. uses liquid or gaseous fuel. The controlled atmosphere plant utilises the combustion gases, which are cooled by means of an evaporator in the refrigeration plant. The refrigeration plant is pref. an absorption plant, comprising absorber, burner heater, condenser and one or more evaporators. Combustion gases from the burner are utilised for forming the controlled atmosphere, which is cooled by the evaporator. Plant includes means for regulating the proportions of especially: oxygen, carbon dioxide, water-vapour. For economic long-term preservation, esp. of fruit and vegetables, in controlled atmosphere.
