Abstract

Photographic silver halide emulsion cntg chemical fogging preventatives. F3B. Which comprise the sodium salt of benzene seleninic acid and a 4-hydroxy-6-alkyl-1, 3, 3a, 7-tetrazaindene (pref. alkyl is higher). Emulsion also contains a developing modifier such as (i) (Non) vulcanisable polymers, in which the main chain has at least 3 thioether functions (ii) quaternary ammonium or phosphonium or tert. sulphonium salts (iii) alkylene oxide polymers. Photographic product comprising support, on which is a layer of silver halide emulsion containing the fogging preventative.
