Abstract

Vehicle seat comprising a shell forming the bottom and the back seat, and a foamed plastics cushion fixed to the shell, the plastics material being such that it forms a superficial shin which provides the surface of the cushion. The thickness of the skin may be controlled by the temperature of the mould elements. Preferably the thickness of the bottom of the seat is sufficient to form a membrane over an orifice in the bottom.
