Abstract

Cpds. of formula (I): (where R is H or Cl; R1 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; R2 is H or alkyl; R3 is alkyl; n is 1 or 2), are prepd. by condensing, the appropriate 3-hydroxyindazole with a bromo-omega -chloroalkane, then reacting the resultant 3-omega -chloroalkyl deriv. with an appropriate sec. amine. Both stages are pref. in an org. solvent, the first at 30-50 degrees C, the second at 80-100 degrees C. The cpds. are obtd. in high yield without isolation of the 3-omega-chloroalkyl deriv. The prodts. have antirheumatic, antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity.
