Abstract
New cpd. which is used industrially as an analytical oxidant is an anhyd, addition cpd. of sodium perxenate and sodium fluoride, formed by adding XeF4 to NaOH at ca. 0 degrees C without agitation. The product is a white, crystalline material of decompsn. temp. 495 degrees C (cf 365 degrees C pure sodium perxenate) and has the formula Na4XeO6. 2.5 NaF.
