Abstract

The invention comprises compound of the general formula Cn- 1F2n- 1.CF2OM, wherein n is an integer of at least 2 and M is K, Rb or Cs. The compounds are prepared by reacting, under anhydrous conditions, an alkali metal fluoride MF with a perfluoroacid fluoride of the formula Cn- 1F2n- 1.COF.
