Abstract
Vinylidene chloride is stabilised by the addition of p-methoxy phenol. The composition may contain 50 to 500, e.g. 50 to 150 parts of p-methoxy phenol by weight per million parts of vinylidene chloride. The p-methoxy phenol may be removed if desired before polymerisation by a dilute caustic wash.
Process for the preparation of mixtures of ortho-, meta- and parater-phenyl, in which the content of one or two of the isomers is less than 10% by weight.
