Abstract

Filter material consists of fleece of continuous fibres laid in zig-zag lines, which is lightly needled and contains small amount of resin (thermosetting or thermoplastic), e.g. thermostable acrylic resins, solutions of natural or synthetic rubbers, PVC, polyethylene, polyurethane etc. 10-50 g. dry resin/m2 fleece is applied by spraying or dipping, after which material is dried and calendered. Material is very porous, strong and resistant to deformation. It is esp. suitable for making dust filter bags.
