Abstract
Fuel enters a disintegration chamber through a catalyst tube and encounters a flame admitted from the engine exhaust and air admitted through a jet. The hydrocarbons are gasified and the heavier ones are dissociated and oxidized, the others being fed to the carburettor for mixing with combustion air. The engine is thus fed with mixture capable of total combustion, so that no noxious gases or carbon are exhausted to atmosphere.
