Abstract

Laminated plastic bag for sterile articles consists of two layers of different plastics, and has and rear panels joined at their sides, with a heat seal extending over the lower parts of these panels, which extend upwards from the heat seal to an open end. The upper panel is provided with openings in the area of its upper edge to enable a gas to flow through the front panel, after the front and rear panels are sealed together above the openings, while the front and rear panels curl away from each at the open end of the bag. The plastic bag is useful for packaging sterile articles, such as surgical dressings.
