Description

Moulin à musique.
La présente invention est relative à un jouet et plus particulièrement à un moulin à musique réalisé en matière plastique et dans lequel les différents sons musicaux sont produits par des tiges métalliques, genre cordes à piano de longueurs différentes, frappées successivement par une barrette solidaire d'un axe rotativement mû par une manivelle emboîtée.
Les détails de construction de ce moulin à musique ressortiront bien de la description qui va suivre se référant au dessin annexé montrant à titre indicatif, non restrictif, une réalisation pratique de l'invention.
La figure 1 est une vue en perspective du jouet tel qu'il se présente vu de l'extérieur. La figure 2 en est une vue en coupe longitudinale. La figure 3 en est une vue en plan par-dessus sans le couvercle.
Sur le dessin, le repère 1 montre le corps cylindrique du moulin à musique formant caisse de résonance. Ce corps est réalisé en matière plastique et comprend un fond 2 et une partie ouverte à bord libre sur laquelle vient s'emboîter un couvercle 3 tronconique et perforé en 4. Ce couvercle est également réalisé en matière plastique. Il est fixé sur le corps 1 par collage. Au centre, le couvercle comporte un bossage 5 percé d'un trou 6 pour le passage de la manivelle 7.
A l'intérieur du corps 1 et sur le fond 2 sont prévues quatre nervures perpendiculaires 8 se rejoignant au milieu en une sorte de petite crapaudine 9 dans laquelle vient se loger l'extrémité inférieure d'un axe 10 réalisé aussi en matière plastique.
A sa partie supérieure l'axe 10 comporte un double emboîtement 11 et 12. Dans celui 11 de diamètre plus grand vient s'inclure le bouton 5 du couvercle 3 de sorte que l'axe 10 puisse être convenablement centré à la fois par cet emboîtement et la crapaudine d'appui 9 au milieu du fond 2 du corps 1. Le deuxième emboîtement 12 prolongeant celui 11 est prévu pour fixer la manivelle 7 qui s'y trouve emmanchée à force, une fois que le couvercle 3. a été collé sur le corps 1. Cette manivelle est donc amovible.
Sur chaque nervure 8 solidaire du fond 2 du corps 1 est prévu un petit plot 13 qui retient l'extrémité inférieure d'une tige métallique 14 genre corde à piano. Il existe autant de tiges métalliques qu'il y a de nervures et il reste entendu que leur nombre n'est pas limité. Pour fournir plusieurs sons différents, ces cordes à piano sont de longueurs différentes et comme il va de soi la plus petite donne le son le plus aigu.
L'axe 10 comporte une barrette transversale 15 qui se prolonge jusqu'au droit des tiges métalliques 14. L'épaisseur de cette barrette 15 va en s'amenuisant jusqu'à son extrémité libre afin de lui procurer une certaine flexibilité lui permettant d'échapper chaque corde à piano 14 contre laquelle elle vient buter lorsque l'axe 10 tourne entraîné par la manivelle 7.
Il va sans dire que toutes modifications de détails et de formes peuvent être apportées à la réalisation de ce jouet, sans pour cela s'écarter du cadre de l'invention. C'est ainsi qu'on peut envisager de remplacer les tiges genre cordes à paino, par tout autre organe, notamment par des lamelles métalliques dans le but d'obtenir le même effet musical.Music mill.

The construction details of this music mill will emerge from the following description with reference to the appended drawing showing, by way of indication, not restrictively, a practical embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the toy as it appears seen from the outside. Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view thereof. Figure 3 is a top plan view without the cover.
In the drawing, reference 1 shows the cylindrical body of the music mill forming a resonance chamber. This body is made of plastic material and comprises a bottom 2 and an open part with a free edge on which fits a frustoconical cover 3 and perforated at 4. This cover is also made of plastic. It is fixed to the body 1 by gluing. In the center, the cover has a boss 5 pierced with a hole 6 for the passage of the crank 7.
Inside the body 1 and on the bottom 2 are provided four perpendicular ribs 8 joining in the middle in a sort of small frame 9 in which is housed the lower end of a pin 10 also made of plastic.
At its upper part, the axis 10 has a double interlocking 11 and 12. In that 11 of larger diameter is included the button 5 of the cover 3 so that the axis 10 can be suitably centered both by this interlocking and the support frame 9 in the middle of the bottom 2 of the body 1. The second interlocking 12 extending that 11 is provided to fix the crank 7 which is force-fitted therein, once the cover 3. has been glued to the body 1. This crank is therefore removable.
On each rib 8 integral with the bottom 2 of the body 1 is provided a small stud 13 which retains the lower end of a metal rod 14 like piano wire. There are as many metal rods as there are ribs and it is understood that their number is not limited. To provide many different sounds, these piano strings come in different lengths and of course the smallest gives the highest pitch.
The axis 10 comprises a transverse bar 15 which extends to the right of the metal rods 14. The thickness of this bar 15 tapers down to its free end in order to provide it with a certain flexibility allowing it to drop each piano wire 14 against which it abuts when the axis 10 rotates driven by the crank 7.
It goes without saying that any modifications of details and shapes can be made to the production of this toy, without departing from the scope of the invention. It is thus possible to envisage replacing the rods like paino strings by any other organ, in particular by metal strips in order to obtain the same musical effect.

1. A toy of the musical mill type made of plastic material, in which the different musical sounds are produced by metal rods, of the piano string type, or strips against which a bar attached to an axis moved in rotation by a crank.

2. Toy as specified under 1 [deg], providing the following mounting characteristics: a. The cylindrical body, or any other geometric shape, has a nested and glued cap, pierced with holes; b. The metal rods or blades are stuck vertically on ribs provided internally on the bottom of the body of the toy; vs. The metal rods or strips are of different lengths; d. The bottom of the body, at the point where the ribs meet, includes a slider to retain the central axis supporting the striking bar; vs. The axis comprises, at its upper part, a double interlocking; one to receive a central boss of the cover; the other to allow the fixing, by force fitting, of the crank after assembly and gluing of the cover.
