Claims (10)
1. Ett slutet förfarande med tvä steg för att producera etanol, kännetecknat därav, att man (i) utför en etanolproducerande anaerobisk fermentering av socker i ett anaerobiskt fermenteringsmedium i en tempe-ratur av ätminstone ca 70 °C, i närvaro av en sädan termo-fil, fakultativt anaerobisk bakterie, som förmär fermentera socker bäde aerobiskt och anaerobiskt och producera etanol i en temperatur av ätminstone ca 70 °C eller över denna, (ii) avlägsnar etanol fortgäende under den anaerobiska fermenteringen enligt steg (i), (iii) avlägsnar en del av fermenteringsmediet fortgäen-de under den anaerobiska fermenteringen enligt steg (i), (iv) separerar bakterierna frän det avlägsnade fermenteringsmediet och circulerar de avskiljda bakterierna tili den anaerobiska fermenteringen enligt steg (i), (v) avlägsnar etanolen frän det avlägsnade fermenteringsmediet och (vi) tillsätter det etanolfria fermenteringsmediet tili den aerobiska reaktorn och odlar bakterier, äterför en del av de erhällna bakterierna och odlingsmediet tili det • · anaerobiska odlingsmediet i den anaerobiska fermenteringen ] enligt steg (i) för att underhälla en katalytisk biomassa.
